Pool Opening


The Lansing Pool will open on June 25th for the 2018 season. Free Swim Lessons will begin July 5th and daily open swim will be offered along with adult swim Tuesday nights from 6:00pm-7:00pm starting July 17th. On Saturday, July 8th join us for our pool party from 1:00 pm -3:00 pm!

Admission


Swimming at Lansing Pool is free for Cohoes residents but please remember that you must show proof of residency upon entering the pool. All pool patrons (resident and non-resident) must have photo identification in order to use the pool.

Proof of residency can be shown by presenting a drivers license or a photo identification in addition to one of the following items:

  • Current City of Cohoes Tax Bill
  • Current Cohoes City School ID or Report Card
  • Current Utility Bill
Non-residents will be charged $5 per day to use the pool facility.

Pool Safety


The City of Cohoes also would like to remind you that any children under the age of 12 wishing to swim at the pool must be accompanied by an adult. Young children who are dropped off at the pool alone will not be able to swim due to safety concerns. Only Coast Guard Certified flotation devices are permitted in the pool. No swimmies, pool noodles or alternate flotation devices allowed.

Free Swim Lessons for Cohoes Residents


Free Swimming Lessons are offered by Red Cross certified instructors for children ages 5 and up. The registration form can be found online (PDF). Please drop off registration forms at the pool or call 518-237-2632. Registration for the 2018 season opens June 2018.
